The first and larger of these is the Mahapon Chedi or ‘Great Victory Stupa’, also known as Chedi Suwanna Chang Kot or ‘Heavenly Stupa with a Magnificent Summit’, a tall structure of laterite and stucco set on a square laterite foundation.
