RMRG1EYY–. The Canadian field-naturalist. 446 The Canadian Field-Naturalist Vol. 110 are dominated by Needle-and-Thread (Stipa comata). Blue Grama (Bouteloiia gracilis), and Northern (Agropyron dasystachyum) and Western {A. smithii) wheatgrass. Willows (Salix spp.) and Trembling Aspen {Populus tremuloides) are the dominant woody vegetation, although Thorny Buffaloberry {Sheperdia argentea) is locally common as single trees or clumps where sufficient moisture is present.
