This decameric (10-part) circular structure is a complex of nucleoproteins (nucleocapsid protein) and phosphoproteins for the vesicular stomatitis Indiana virus (VSIV). The formation process here is similar to that seen in viral RNA synthesis, and this structure is being studied to help understand that mechanism.
